Resources for Connecticut Community Health Workers
Share |

Community Health Workers (CHWs) are vital members of the public health workforce throughout the nation. In 2000, CHWs organized and became a section of the American Public Health Association. Many states have CHW professional associations, including three of our neighboring states: Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island. Connecticut does not yet have a professional association dedicated to CHWs. In September 2011, the CPHA Board of Directors voted to explore providing assistance to CHWs in CT to help support their organizing efforts. This webpage is created to bring together documents, meeting minutes, web links and other resources that can be helpful to CHWs and their advocates to create a network on CHWs in our state.
