JOB DESCRIPTION
The Program Specialist provides support to the Program Manager -- Research, Innovation & Evaluation. The Program Specialist contributes to the research, innovation and evaluation operations of Help Me Grow (HMG) National Center. 
  • Support product and tool delivery to EC LINC communities and HMG National affiliates, pre affiliates and HMG National collaborators (i.e. JPB, Kellogg and etc.)
  • Support the research and evaluation design on new grants and proposals by serving as a content area expert in EPIC modules, CQI, MLDA, CCCC, and HMG National products
  • Research and vet new opportunities for the integration and embedding of (models, measures and products) into the Help Me Grow model (i.e. Strengthening Families, Brighter Futures, Home Visitation Models and etc.).
  • Support the MOC lead and/or consultants in the integration, management and ongoing evaluation of its value and impact, primarily with EC LINC communities (i.e. JPB)
  • Participate in monitoring compliance with best practice and integrity in all research and innovation matters.
  • Support the measurement of JPB funded initiatives and supporting EC LINC communities with their CQI improvement activities, with a focus on developmental promotion, early detection and intervention.
  • Designs tools, establishes Help Me Grow National Center desires and expectations and provides consultation on family engagement; as it relates to cultivating champions.
  • Contribute to the HMG National Center strategic plan and as it relates to implementation of Help Me Grow National products, tools and forecasted opportunity.
  • Provide content and context on Help Me Grow products and tools for the annual Help Me Grow common indicators review and report.
  • Provides expertise on the core components and structural requirements of a Help Me Grow System to affiliates and other key stakeholders.
  • Plans, coordinates and supports leadership in providing technical assistance via webinar, learning collaborative calls, supportive administrative functions and site visits.
  • Provide ongoing support around system, data and evaluation efforts of affiliate states.
  • When appropriate advises affiliates through conference calls and other modes of communication
  • Support the presentation of Help Me Grow National Center products, tools and initiatives at conferences, discussion forums, and meetings
  • Proposes and drafts content for marketing and communications including E-Note preparation, website updates and modifications, manual updates and modification and webinar preparation and execution. This is a grant funded position 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • A Bachelor's degree is required and a Master's degree (in Early Care and Education, Special Education, Public Health, Public Policy, Policy Analysis) is desirable and strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressively increasing experiences related to the responsibilities described above.
  • Experience in social research, with a focus on collective impact and fidelity management issues.
  • Experience in innovation work, either technology or social.
  • Experience of supporting and coordinating intra department projects.
  • Ability to use Web-based tools for creating, sharing, and collaborating on work
  • Experience in using and manipulating data
