In pursuit of a Health and All Policies approach, the Vermont Department of Health has conducted a health impact assessment (HIA) around potential health impacts of marijuana regulation. HIAs are a strong tool in investigating the effects of policy and planning decisions on health outcomes, and making recommendations to optimize potential positive health impacts and mitigate potential negative health impacts.
