Course Description:
In recent years, health impact assessments (HIA) have become an important tool to bring public health concerns and a systematic review of data to the table where decisions are being made in energy, housing, transportation, community development, and other areas. A rapid HIA was recently prepared to offer input to Connecticut state officials as they move forward on plans to weatherize 80 percent of the state’s housing stock by 2030. Join us to learn about HIA process and impact from the team that conducted the study.

• Describe the purpose of the HIA in CT – Why it was conducted and the background, stakeholders and goal.
• Identify the process and activities of the HIA.
• Explain findings and recommendations
