You are invited to an informational forum on Connecticut’s Public Health System. Local, state, and national experts will define the foundational capabilities of public health departments, and discuss opportunities to strengthen the public health system’s capacity to ensure conditions in which people can be healthy. The keynote speaker is Patrick Libbey from the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice at the University of Washington.

The forum is hosted by the Connecticut Department of Public Health and legislative and executive branch leaders serving as a team sponsored by the Aspen Institute’s Excellence in Public Health Law Program. This program is a one year initiative designed to help states examine how law and policy can advance their state’s health priorities.
