Conference Theme
The Human Services for Social Justice and Sustainability Conference is a space for people across professions and disciplines to come together to discuss how to face current and likely intensifying challenges social, cultural, economic, and ecological challenges. We are the generations who are confronted with humanity's greatest challenge. Climate change, sustainability, peace, and social justice issues are all intertwined, and we need to address them simultaneously. We need to quickly and intelligently make some very important decisions together in order to move forward and shape our society into one that can negotiate these challenges peacefully, supportively, and successfully, while being in solidarity with one another. This is an all-hands-on-deck situation, and this is a unique conference that invites people from all walks of life to listen to each other as we collectively begin to develop a plan that takes into account our current challenges, invites us to develop our society into one that fully supports people so that they can provide their greatest contributions.
