We are 2 weeks away from the 2014 CPHA Public Health Awards & Networking Breakfast! Come celebrate Connecticut's Public Health Champions with us on Thursday, April 10th at Quinnipiac University, Center for Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences in North Haven, CT. The Ira V. Hiscock Award winner is Ann Greene.

Ann Greene is a writer whose poetry and fiction has been published in various journals and anthologized. As a librettist, her operas and music theatre works have been performed in the US and Europe. For 16 years she taught poetry, fiction, non-fiction and memoir writing, storyboarding, test-taking skills, and performance to K-12 and adult students for public schools, colleges, public libraries and various arts organizations. Since moving to New Haven, she has served on the West River Neighborhood Services Corp. Board and is currently serving on the Yale School of Public Health Community Alliance for Research and Engagement (CARE) Steering Committee and the New Haven Urban Design League Board. She is studying towards an M.S. in Secondary Mathematics Education and she is currently an Associate Producer for Jazz, Cancer, and Life: Fred Ho's Last Year.
