The Connecticut Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is completing an assessment on breast cancer. The assessment, titled, The Community Profile, is expected to be completed in March 2015. Quantitative and qualitative data will be collected to determine funding priorities over the next four years. Komen staff along with the Connecticut Tumor Registry has collected quantitative data to identify towns with greatest burden of breast cancer The quantitative data identified 33 towns on 5 counties with high incidence, late stage and mortality. Qualitative data will provide insight to how women in the various communities access early detection services and follow the continuum of care if diagnosed. Komen seeks assistance to complete the qualitative data report. Interested candidates with experience in community health and experience in qualitative data collection may contact the Community Profile Tea at 860-321-7806 by October 10, 2014.
