Calling
all community members, public health practitioners and students! Learn
to become an advocate for public health equity and earn a certificate
at our skill-building workshop. Advocacy is one of the most powerful ways that mission-driven
organizations and community-minded individuals can amplify their voices to create large-scale social change.
The Connecticut Public Health Association (CPHA) invites everyone to join our free Public Health Advocacy Training Event on Saturday, February 3rd from 8:30-4pm.
Participants
will get to build their knowledge of legislative advocacy and policy
making, and learn the skills necessary to be successful advocates at
the state, local, and institutional levels.
Our
professional facilitators will provide insight on the connection
between advocacy and health equity, the ABC’s of being an advocate, how
the Connecticut legislative process works, and how advocates
can influence it.

Bartels Hall, The Room is the Alumni Lounge- University of New Haven
Meal Arrangements:
- Dining Hall in the Lower Level -UNH will provide light breakfast, coffee, water, lunch
- Vegetarian Options will be available
Parking Instructions:
- For parking, please use the following address for your GPS: 47 Chauncey St, West Haven, CT. Please note this is different from the main campus address.
- After parking, it is a short 5 minute walk to the venue on main campus with sandwich boards directing you to campus as well as assist with wayfinding.
