5. ‘Lunch and Learn with the Health Education Committee: Connecting for Youth &
MentalHealth!' was held on April 8, 2022, from 12 pm – 1 pm.
The event featured a presentation from Yale University's Rebecca Etkin, PhD. Dr. Etkin is a licensed clinical psychologist at Yale University Child Study Center. Dr. Etkin specializes in treating and researching pediatric anxiety disorders and related difficulties within the Anxiety & Mood Disorders Program.

4. 'Lunch and Learn with the Health Education Committee: Connecting for Breast Cancer Awareness!' was held on October 22, 2021, from 12 pm – 1 pm.
The event featured a presentation from Yale University's Beth Jones, PhD, MPH and Monique Stefanou, MPH. Beth is the Associate Director for Community Engagement in the Center for Engagement and Health Equity for the Yale Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Monique is a community health educator and lead health navigator for the Yale Cancer Disparities Firewall Project. Both presented on breast cancer and the intersection with the social determinants of health (SDOHs).

3. ‘Lunch and Learn with the Health Education Committee: Climate Change & Our Health’ was held July 23rd 2021, from 12 pm – 1 pm.
The event featured a presentation from Laura Bozzi, PhD who is the Director of Programs for the Yale Center on Climate Change and Health. She discussed the health effects of climate change in Connecticut.

2. ‘Lunch and Learn with the Health Education Committee: Wellness During A Pandemic’ was held at the conclusion of National Public Health Week on April 9, 2021, from 12 pm – 1 pm.
The event featured a presentation from Jessica Collins, a registered nurse at Hartford Healthcare who discussed the impact of a pandemic on our bodies, isolation, and illness, coping strategies, as well as available resources and support. After the presentation, participants had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A discussion. Jessica is a Director of Behavioral Health Services for the Hospital of Central CT and MidState Medical Center

1. The Connecticut Public Health Association (CPHA) Health Education Committee (HEC) kicked off its lunch and learn series where public health professionals across the state learned and exchanged information about various health topics. Their first event, titled ‘Lunch and Learn with the Health Education Committee: Connecting for Heart Health’ was held during American Heart Month on February 5, 2021.
The event featured a presentation from the HEC’s very own Jamie Luckhardt. Jamie is a two-time heart survivor that was diagnosed with heart disease at a young age. She has a background in health education, is CHES certified, and currently working on Covid-19 with the Meriden Health Department.
