CPHA's nomination committee is responsible for CPHA's board elections as indicated in the By-Laws.
Currently, the only open board seat is that of President-Elect. This position will be filled via election in 2024 for a term beginning in January 2025. Information about the election itself will be emailed directly to CPHA members.
Below are the bios for all candidates currently running for this position.
President-Elect Candidate
Chloe Johnson, MPH
Organized, highly driven public health and higher education practitioner
with academic interests in research and teaching including chronic
diseases
such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, heart disease, and diabetes with a passion for
student success and well-being, health disparities, health promotion and
education, and social justice. Current employment as an HIV and Aging
project coordinator and researcher at Yale University. She is also an adjunct professor
of Public Health at Southern Connecticut State University. Chloe is currently serves as the CPHA Website and Database Manager, CPHA Program Planning Co-Chair, Director at large of the CPHA Board, and is a Member in Good Standing of CPHA. She is running for President-Elect in order to continue advancing the health of the public in Connecticut and continuing to be a part of the CPHA.
